We weren't smart people. The first day at the beach we would get in the water and then towel off, then get back in the water later. Rinse and repeat.

Well, we had only applied sunblock once that day and we were burnt by the next day. It was horrible. We couldn't even have a bedsheet on our skin, it hurt so bad. We still went out occasionally but it was bad.
