Ashley and Matt's family visiting the time share

In 2021 I was dating someone name Andy. His family had a time share in Redington Beach that they would visit every March and November (his aunt and uncle also snow birded here from November-March separately). Ashley, Andy's cousin, has two daughters ,5 and 4, and one son, 1 year old. Her and her family were staying at the time share since Andy's mom and aunt couldn't go (his aunt went to The Wave in AZ instead, or something). ( Trump had expanded the list of allowed visitors per day at the Wave. ) We went to Busch Gardens with Ashley's family and used up our guest passes for 2021, and then we stopped by for dinner at their time share condo. That night at the condo, Matt was fishing on the shore for little sharks just for fun and throwing them back in. He asked if Andy wanted to try. "No" He asked me and I said "umm YEAH!" . lol I was really terrible and my nails were really long so it was hard to tightly grib the pole. Matt helped me a lot! So I caught a bonnet shark, Andy took a picture, and we threw it back in. The kids had to use the bathroom so I told Ashley I could take them. OMG it was like the first time I ever felt like an adult - taking kids to use the toilet. Thank goodness they didn't need guidance with that, though. Andy followed me. Ashley and some other people there were hanging with the kids. Later Ashely came back to the condo and was helping get some things ready for dinner. She was roasting potatoes in the oven but they wouldn't finish! She felt bad about it ! We kept telling her she didn't need to feel bad about it ! She and Matt had done some shopping so we could cook on the grill that night. She handed Andy a plate of hamburgers and asked him to grill them. He groaned and said "I don't know what I'm doing! I'm afraid I'll do it wrong!" (in that moment I honestly felt like yelling "Shut up and grill! be a person!". seriously, with three kids running around, one of whom was aiming to accidently kill himself on concrete stairs that were under construction, none of us needed to worry about Andy's self consciousness about grilling.) Ashley opened a beer and said that it was her first beer the entire week. Ugh. I felt bad for her. But also good for her because those kids were sweet. Anyway, I got Andy and the kids situated, helped Andy with the grill, constantly ran to a bunch of concrete stairs to retrieve a 1 yo who was hellbent on exploring them despite the yellow tape surrounding them, and that completed my "kid time" for the rest of 2021.
