Here I am a few minutes away from going to yoga when the electricity went out. It was a typical Monday. Glenna texted me asking if our electricity went out and I said yeah.

As we are walking to yoga, nothing out of the normal. Get to yoga to find out that all of Lagos and a neighboring city are out. After yoga, Isabelle told us the entire peninsula including Spain and some of France are without and that it was a cyber attack from the Russians (they think).

I walk home and text some friends to check in on people. Some people texted back, some didn't. When I got home, my phone's internet went out so no more messages for me.

Brian went to the store to get some food since the last we heard was up to A WEEK! He managed to find fruit and junk food and the other shelves were sold out. Just as he left, they started to form lines to enter the store as people were panic shopping and Lidl was running out of food.

We decided to chill out on the balcony and yelled over to our neighbors. We then decided to go over their place and drink and play pinochle until the sun went down. We had candles and flashlights and snacks.

We called it a night over there around 10 when it got really dark. Bri and I went up to the roof to see the stars. It was amazing. With no lights you can see a lot of stars!

But, however brief that was, the electricity came back on! People started yelling and celebrating and honking horns. I shouted "Viva Portugal" from the rooftop. Electricity was restored!

We even managed to play Dominion with Heidi!
